Updates

Corrections and dated changes. Every entry says what was wrong, or what moved, and where in the book it lives.

2 entries in the 2026.1 edition, of which 2 are corrections.

Two kinds of entry

Correction
Something in the book was wrong and is now right. A figure was read wrong.
Dated
Nothing was wrong; the world moved. The material is now marked with the date it was true.

The log

  1. Correction 2026.1

Two places pointed readers at a file the book never shipped

Chapter 11.3 said "GLOSSARY.md fixes AI-generated persona as a glossary term". Appendix B said a vendor is "the category's canonical exemplar from GLOSSARY.md". Both named an internal working file that a reader cannot open, and the first was false twice over: the glossary defines 114 terms and AI-generated persona is not one of them. The wording claim in 11.3 was also misattributed — what keeps the disclosure line identical across posts is the template, not a glossary row. Both sentences now point at what a reader can actually reach: 11.3 states the wording is fixed once and reused verbatim, and Appendix B says "the glossary", which is true — Appendix A does define the tool names. The term itself is now pinned in the translation table so localized editions render it identically.

  2. Correction 2026.1

Four honesty-marker counts in Appendix G were wrong

Appendix G reported 70 files carrying at least one marker (actually 72), 8 definitional marker occurrences (actually 7), 194 live uses with 99 uses of the date marker (actually 195 and 100), and 4 date markers in 9.4 (actually 3). The cause of the third: chapter 1.1 describes the date marker in prose rather than writing it as a bracketed occurrence, and the count treated it as one. A gate now recomputes all of these from the manuscript on every build, so the appendix can no longer disagree with the book it describes.
